Practical usage of Shadow Analysis software
Shadow Analysis software is flexible tool with big possibilities. In menu user can adjust resolution of generating report, calculations precision, time period for carried analysis and date, according to which will be simulated lighting conditions and generated analysis style.
Possible analysis options
In tab resolution we have possibility to choose size of final report picture. Calculation precision allow to set spacing in time periods between next shadow measurements (e.g. every 5 minutes or 10 minutes). That are basic settings deciding about analysis speed performance. Huge range of available size and accuracy thresholds allows for implementing both – fast, testing analysis and also big, clear diagrams.
In period time tab we choose start and end of simulation. Current software version allow to set any scope of analysis. It also contains few predefined settings corresponding to technical condition demands of Minister of Infrastructure regulation. Such settings are different for other versions, according to other countries regulations.
Next available settings allows to change date, according to which it will be simulated lighting conditions and analysis style. We can choose between two styles: working – it colors length of shading since 0 to 10 hours, checking it splashes of colors for next full hours of shading and production – in which there are checking only sensitive areas – exposure to sun shorter than 3 and 1,5 hour.

Shadow Analysis software give possibility of use completly new approach to work with sunlight insolation. According to fast software work, designer have possibility to performance multiple shading pre-analysis in starting stage of work with building lump.
Basic problem of traditional method is long period of time, needed to performance it. According to that fact, we implement analysis once, after end of whole design process. Unfortunately, often happens, that carried out analysis shows mistakes and removing them on this stage is very time-consuming.
Shadow Analysis is tool, which give possibility of creating better buildings in shorter time. Additionally shading analysis stops be a reason of refusing project acceptance what, until now, often occurs.
